Sometimes awful things lead to great things. Shortly after suffering a heart attack in late 2022, my simple, practical daily driver was totaled in an accident (not my fault, I swear). This led to an impulse purchase – some might call it a mid-life crisis; I called it a well-deserved investment in my mental well-being. It was a beautiful, black 1999 Corvette Convertible. It looks great. It feels great. It drives great. Other than my wife and family, it is the love of my life.
I found myself feeling the need not only to start taking better care of myself but to take care of my new-to-me dream machine as well. And, oh man, not only was it extremely therapeutic, but it also filled me with immense pride. So, I just kept working on the car – cleaning it inside and out, making it perfect. I enjoyed the time and effort I was putting into it. I found myself learning ways to better clean and become more skilled and efficient. I found I was doing this multiple times a week. It relieved the daily stresses of life, and I was happier because of it.
In time, I had become an expert detail doctor -- and I wanted to spread the health. On a whim, I started cleaning, prepping, and protecting my friend’s and family’s’ cars and trucks. After making each one show-room beautiful inside and out, I felt accomplished and fulfilled.
So, now, I’m making another well-deserved investment: launching CardiACK’s Detailing-- cleverly named by my youngest son. We offer Interior and Exterior Detailing, Paint Decontamination, Paint Enhancement, Ceramic Coatings and more. I think all cars deserve to be loved and cared for in the way I care for mine and I would love the opportunity to help clean and protect your vehicles as well.
