Recovery of a swimming pool with circulation problems !!
If you have a pool full of algae, it is important to act quickly to clean and recover the water. Here are some steps you can follow to recover a pool with algae:
Remove visible algae: Use a pool brush to scrub the walls, the floor and the corners of the pool where the algae accumulate. You can also use a net to get floating or dead algae out of the water.
Adjust the pH levels: Check the pH levels of the pool and adjust them if necessary. pH levels should be between 7.2 and 7.6 to maintain clean and safe water.
Add algicide: To kill the remaining algae in the water, you can add an algicide recommended by the pool manufacturer.
Perform a superchlorination: After adding the algaecide, you can perform a superchlorination by adding an extra amount of chlorine to the pool. This will help eliminate any unwanted bacteria or organisms in the water.
Filter and clean the water: Leave the filtration system in operation for at least 24 hours to clean the pool water. You can also use a skimmer to collect any floating residue on the surface of the water.
By following these steps and maintaining a good cleaning routine, you can recover a pool with algae and enjoy clean and crystal clear water. If you have persistent problems with the algae in your pool, consider consulting a professional for additional help.
