Owned and operated by “Smitty” - Kyle Smith. While working as a lead service plumber for Roto Rooter in Humboldt county doing residential and commercial plumbing and drain cleaning. Smitty started putting money aside to purchase his own plumbing and drain cleaning equipment and truck. In 2012 his dream became reality. Smitty set out making a name for himself in the hills of Humboldt and Mendocino counties. Being a reliable source for their drain cleaning and small repairs needs in those communities. All the while studying to take his contractors license exam. Acquiring his C-36 plumbing license would benefit everyone, making his services that much more valuable. KMS Drain Cleaning and Repair in Humboldt county worked well for Smitty. It afforded him the freedom to actually help the folks that called him. It allowed him to keep his services affordable and fairly priced as well as have free time to spend with his family. He is just smitten over his soon to be wife and two daughters. His fiancé Nichole McCarty and two daughters, Kendra (9) and Valorie (8) are what his life is about. Other then the business and his customers nothing is as important to ! “Family is everything” to him.
It seemed as though Smitty’s plan was succeeding. All that was left for his to do, was to study and pass his contractors license test. Then Smitty received some shocking news which would forever change his life. A close family member (sister) was diagnosed with cancer. With the added kicker that she and his two nephews had just relocated to California from Washington to live with his parents in Willits Ca. She had originally relocated to live with his parents for support while she finalized a divorce.
With the news about his sister. Smitty up-rooted his fiancé and his two beautiful daughters and his newly established business. Relocating to the small town of Willits, California. Closer to his sister and family, so that his fiancé Nikki and himself could help his sister and parents take care of his two nephews much easier and assist with his sisters care.
Smitty hadtrouble finding a home to rent when Smitty arrived to Willits. His family and him moved onto his parents property and into their home in the Shafer Ranch Sub-division. Adding his family of four to an already busy household of five was defiantly a challenge but it what was needed. Living with parents after 20 years presents its own challenges but “Family is everything” and Smitty and his family were grateful to be able to help.
