Our Ideal Candidate:
Experience in drain cleaning or apprentice level or better as a plumber or drainlayer. No current license required, but definitely a plus!
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Can lift at least 60lbs
Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied and challenging environments and in all climates
Basic understanding of underground utility systems and pipeline infrastructure
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch for extended periods
Able to work independently or as part of team
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Quick thinking, adaptable, flexible and good problem solving skills
Excellent work ethic and dependability
Strong attention to detail and process

Bellies are low spots or dips in the line which can cause poor flow or allow solids and non-flushables to settle and accumulate, causing back ups.

🔎Bellies present as areas of standing water, sometimes with debris.
🔎 The linear footage and water depth help determine if the belly is minor, moderate or significant.
🔎 Other clues, such as staining, swirl marks or scoring on the pipe walls can reveal if the belly has caused back ups in the past.
🔎 Bellies can be caused by the soil composition, ground movement, inadequate support under the pipe or excess pressure from above.

Bellies are the most common structural finding during sewer inspections. Many are minor and can be managed without repair. 👏👏👏
