Bay Shore Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Carpet cleaning / Emergency Services / Restoration / Remodelling In early 1993, I decided that I wanted to expand our business to include carpet cleaning.

In early 1976, my father bought Bay Shore Floor Covering from the Tilton family which had been running the small retail floor covering store since 1952. At that time, I was 11 years old and I remember thinking that it was pretty cool to play on the big rolls of carpet. As the years passed, I continued to work in our family business during the summers and weekends. My father taught me everything th

ere was to know about the flooring business and the importance of making sure that every client received more than what they had expected. I was feeling pretty confident, after all, I had 17 years experience in the retail flooring business. So, in October 1993, my father-in-law and I drove to New England to pick up our first carpet cleaning van. October 3rd, we had our first appointment, and the rest is history. We now have two cleaning vans in service and have expanded our business to include carpet, area rug upholstery, air duct and awning cleaning. We also perform special services including flood restoration, spot removal, pet odor removal and carpet repair and reinstallation. Its been a lot of fun and very interesting developing this part of our business. In early 2002, we closed the retail store so my mom could retire. Ironically, the building was sold to one of our clients and they are now running a successful appliance store. Our goal for the future is to provide each of our clients with as much information as needed to make an educated decision and provide a service that commands our guarantee.
