With an all-over paisley design, hand-knotted in beautiful shades of red, green, blue, and orange, this Antique 1880s Persian Farahan carpet measures 3’5″ x 5′ and is in excellent condition. This Farahan has a unique design that incorporates hundreds of paisley motifs evenly spaced throughout the carpet. Within Persian textiles, the paisley is known as a boteh and symbolizes the eternal flame.
