Summer has its own kind of grime, and it does not always show up where you expect it.

I was glad to contribute to this article from The Spruce about eight things that get surprisingly dirty during the summer. I talked about window screens that collect pollen and insect debris, the hidden parts of reusable water bottles, and the tiny cooler drain plug almost everyone forgets to clean.

That drain plug is where melted ice, spilled drinks, and food residue like to gather. And putting the cooler away while it is still damp? That is usually where the trouble begins.
