Our Story

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Edward Alzak. I am the foreman of Indiglo Shine. I am honored that the "shine brothers" want "me" to tell you their story and there is no better person to assure you its credibility. As a member of the crew I was accepted as a part of their family I also witness the shine brothers reuniting for the first time in 23 years. Due to adoption the brothers were separated as adolescents it was their reunification that started their road trip.

Frank acquired the skill of polishing as a means to survive on the road at the age of twenty under the guidance of an old hippie guy during his travels, while his truck was broke down in Duncan, SC. The old hippie even taught Frank how to manufacture a simple polish, which sustained him financially on his travels up and down the east coast.

On December the 24th 2008 Frank finally met his brother, while Jeff and I were hanging out that night, thereafter we all hung out like a crew on a daily basis. Eight months later on August 14, 2009 Frank and Jeff began their road trip; their first waypoint was the Pilot Truck Stop in Lebanon, TN. They started out making a simple polish out of green and white rouge in five gallon containers from the trunk of Frank’s car and not to mention every job was completed by hand.

Frank Vasile and Jeff Burns developed a strong bond on their road trip through every state line as Frank tutored Jeff in the polishing trade. I received plenty of phone calls from both Frank and Jeff during this adventure of theirs revealing intriguing road stories which always left me envious.

As Frank & Jeff sold polish from the trunk of their car completed polishing jobs the necessity to manufacture even more polish came about. With every new batch of polish being produced the polish developed into the incredible product it is today. The proof was in the pudding as the polishing jobs that the shine brothers completed not only exceeded the driver’s expectations, but also lasted much longer than any other polish on the market.

Their polish was named Indiglo Shine while they were at Iowa 80 the “World’s Biggest Truck Stop”. One of their previous customers broadcasted over the CB airwaves that their polish radiates an iridescent blue glow during the night. Thereafter Frank and Jeff began advertising their polish as Indiglo Shine over the CB airwaves until the shine brothers decided to come back to Massachusetts. Frank and Jeff founded Indiglo Shine on April 29, 2011 and they have since conducted efforts in establishing the small business.

Frank and Jeff’s primary duties in Indiglo Shine are promoting the sales and services of their company at the moment. Getting customers in a struggling economy has not been an easy task. Although I can assure you that their attempts have been valiant ones. For example, in August, 2011 they attended the Worcester Summer Nationals Bike & Drag Show as vendors promoting their polish. Their presence at the large event drew the attention of Hermis Yamis at 7 Hawk Media, Where they were interviewed as guests on his radio talk show. Another prime example would certainly be their attempt to set up the official Indiglo Shine website on January 2012 through a web hosting agent. However they were not satisfied with the poor design and ineffective functionality of the site. Currently there is no website they are looking for a professional website designers. More conventional marketing methods are also being attempted on a daily basis such as cold calling commercial companies, creating their own business cards, and even distributing fliers.
