One of the best decisions I ever made was walking away from the bar industry after years of hard work and taking a chance on myself by starting my own cleaning business.
What I didn't fully anticipate was how many people still look down on cleaners—or the assumption that because I own my own business, I can just do whatever I want, whenever I want. That's not really how running a successful business works.
Being a business owner doesn't mean fewer responsibilities. It means more. It means showing up when I say I will, honoring commitments, meeting deadlines, solving problems, and holding myself accountable every single day.
And despite what social media might have you believe, this business wasn't built overnight. It wasn't luck, and it certainly wasn't handed to me. It was a gamble that required every dollar I had saved, countless hours of work, plenty of stress, more coffee than I'd like to admit, and a level of determination that refused to quit.
Every client earned. Every lesson learned. Every review, referral, and dollar made came from consistency, hard work, and a commitment to doing the job right.
I'm always happy to be professional, respectful, and easy to work with. But professionalism is a two-way street. If someone chooses to bring disrespect into the conversation, they shouldn't be surprised when they get a little of that energy reflected back.
Respect is free.😁
Courtesy is free.😃
Common sense is usually free too.😎
I highly recommend all three.🤷♀️
So if you're looking for a house cleaner who's dependable, licensed, insured, has great reviews and references, and comes with just a little bit of spice and a whole lot of sarcasm—send me a message.
We'll make your house sparkle. The sarcasm is complimentary.🥰
