We do our best to try and replant your vegetation if it's necessary for us to dig it up but it's advised not to plant anything over your tank. One of the most common reasons your tank can fail or backup is due to roots growing in through your tank!

If your house was built later than the 2000's, you have a 2 compartment tank with a filter! All that means is we'll dig two holes and more often than not your tank is in excellent shape due to the baffle that separates the solids and the liquids!

If you start seeing wet patches in your grass it might be time to get your tank pumped! This is an overfull tank that can cause issues with your leeching field if left untreated (which can be very costly)

Don't wait until the last minute! Get your septic tank pumped BEFORE the recommended 5 year notice to save your system!

If you're thinking of putting a patio in over your tank we would suggest #1 don't do it but #2 to put a riser in order to provide quick and convenient access in the event of an emergency. Moreover, a patio is intended to not have the earth beneath it disturbed. As you can see from our pictures, the bricks will more than likely be slightly elevated or depressed, rather than flush with the rest of the patio. We love puzzles so it's no problem for us!

Here's our first attempt of a video log! We work in the blistering heat of the summer, the freezing cold of the winter, and the pouring rain of the spring!!

Here we are in Westbrook yesterday at a tank that was slightly overfull. The town will tell you that every 5 years is okay but that is the MINIMUM. If you're a first time home owner, get your tank pumped after 2-3 years to gain a better understanding of how to keep your septic tank and leeching field functioning properly!!
