Nice pool and spa combo! Here in Iowa it’s not logical to have a spa built into the pool
And/or spilling over. We freeze. If spa was built in to the pool you won’t be able to open cover to use the spa from ice and snow accumulation. Same situation with a spa spilling over to the pool. In these situations they have shared equipment, so when pool gets winterized so does the hot tub. So what you see here is a pool that can be winterized and a hot tub that can stay open year round. We can also place the hot tub next to the pool and add a waterfall, to make the “spillover” appearance. But in reality they are both their own separate body of water that can be winterized individually. Living in the Midwest we need to build things differently then our none freezing southern states.
