Is there BIoFilm in your Hot Tub?
YES if you do not purge it annually.

Here is a definition of what Biofilm is.

This slime-like biofilm can cause cloudy water – or worse – floating debris in the water. Improperly maintained and disinfected hot tubs along with just time itself make your Hot Tub susceptible to BIOFILM growth.
Generally, Hot Tub BIOFILM comes from contaminants introduced by the people bathing, such as dead skin, oils, deodorants, lotions, body oil, perfumes, cosmetics air-born pollens and detergents in bathing suits.
Improperly treated water or infrequent water draining are also meditating factors to Biofilm growth.

When Biofilm is present in your SPA or Hot Tub it make's balancing your water very difficult. Your PH is constantly low or high.
