I had a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 single cab that was having an audio shut-off issue. The client brought it in today so we could troubleshoot.

I found that the rear 4x6 speakers had been spliced and the wiring completely butchered, causing a short in the system that would cause the audio to go silent. The radio amplifier would go into protect mode to avoid fire or damage to the head unit. So we had to rewire and make sure everything was done right. We also went ahead and replaced the front MTX Audio USA Thunder65 speakers with new ones since one of them had a bad tinsel lead. We also fixed the radio antenna to give signal to the radio and rewired the wiring harness that was spliced into behind the radio as well. The factory OEM tweeters were just hanging, so we made sure to reinstall them to keep them from falling out of position.

The system now sounds great, all speakers work flawlessly, and there's no more audio silence when the head unit volume is increased.

Selling a complete, vehicle-specific 7-inch touchscreen head unit bundle configured for Ford trucks and SUVs. This setup was pulled directly from a client's 2010 F-250 Crew Cab platform. It worked. It is a 3rd party Android model, so it can lag at times for the wireless Carplay/Android Auto, but worked from time to time.
Because Ford shared the exact same dashboard cavity shape, wiring architecture, and computer languages across their truck platforms during this era, this unit is a direct, drop-in bolt-on replacement for: 2004–2008 Ford F-1502008–2012 Ford F-250 / F-350 / F-450 Super Duty 2007–2014 Ford Expedition. The integrated plastic dash-mounting brackets are molded straight onto the faceplate housing, allowing it to slide cleanly into the dash with a tight, flush factory appearance—no extra plastic dash kits required!

Included Components:
7" Ford-Specific Touchscreen Stereo: Features built-in Bluetooth wireless music/calling, a front-facing USB port, and an AM/FM receiver. It supports both WIRELESS and WIRED Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. (Note: The wireless connection can occasionally lag a bit, but running your phone plugged directly into the USB port may be faster, stable, and flawless!). Ford CAN-Bus Data Decoder Module: This is the brain box that translates your truck's network to run the stereo power functions.

NOTE: The physical factory sticker on the box says "F-150 04-08", but because of Ford's shared digital architecture, this exact module ran perfectly in the 2010 F-250 without a hitch. It safely handles your key-ignition power and accessory delay (keeps radio on until you open the door).

Please note: The factory wiring harness pig-tail is clipped short from the removal, so you will just need to crimp or splice your truck's harness adapter directly to the exposed leads.

Please note: This unit features AutoLink / Phone Mirroring. It does NOT have native Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It mirrors your phone's screen onto the display using a USB cable.This unit came out of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, client said it was already in vehicle when purchased, wanted steering wheel controls and Apple Carplay, so we uninstalled it. Because it was a client's, we aren't selling it as "brand new"—but it is in absolute mint physical condition. Tested all features, seems to work, but we can't be certain of every day functions.

This is so true; many people live life not caring about how ruthless they can be towards others, but then when it comes to them, they either don't understand why they are being treated that way, playing the victim, or just have no sense of reality towards others.

Had a 2010 Ford F250 come in yesterday to get a new head unit and new speakers/tweeters all the way around.

We went with the MTX Audio USA Terminator68 6x8 speakers in the front doors and in the rear panel. We went with the Down4SoundShop CFXT1 1" tweeters in the sail of the front doors and in the rear doors. We made sure to wire everything in using the Metra Electronics speaker adapters to avoid splicing factory wires. To run the speakers, we went with the JVC Mobile Entertainment KW-M590BT and added in the RDV Automotive Technology wireless Carplay/Android Auto adapter.

This rig sounds clean, crisp, loud, and really enhanced the cabin of the truck.
