2 years ago I started this little journey not knowing where it would go. And 2 years later here I am…still going strong! I’ve met some amazing people along the way who have turned into great friends….along with a few not so amazing. 🫣 I’ve also met a lot of animal friends who I love as my own. 🥰 I’m so grateful for all of you! I’m grateful that I can own a business and still be there 99% for my kids. I don’t plan to grow any bigger as in I don’t want to have employees but you never know what the future holds. Thank you to all of you who have gave me a chance or spread the word for me. 🩷

Burp your house.

Open your windows for just 10 minutes a day even in winter and let your home breathe.

Fresh air helps:
• Flush out stale air, odors, and toxins
• Reduce moisture (less mold + mildew)
• Bring in fresh air so germs don’t just recirculate and hang around
• Improve overall air quality + oxygen levels
• Support better sleep and focus
• Boost your mood (sunlight + breeze = instant reset)
• Make your house smell actually clean, not just “cleaned”

We air out our home daily, even if it’s quick. Old houses especially love it but honestly, all houses do.

Do you open your windows year round or only when it’s warm? 🤍

Hello Everyone! I wanted to jump on here for one last time in 2025 and just say a huge Thank You! I knew once June hit and my kids were on summer break (my youngest starting all day kindergarten in the fall) that I wanted to build my business and start working a lot more. I wasn’t sure how I’d do that but somehow it just happened all on its own! My business definitely has doubled but probably more like tripled since then and I can’t thank you all enough for that! I am so blessed! I have met so many amazing clients through this little business of mine…some becoming great friends or more like family. And your pets have become mine also! I’m so excited to see what the next year brings and again just want to say THANK YOU! 🥰

~Carrie

P.S. I do still have openings in my schedule if you or anyone you know is looking for a cleaning lady! 🩷 🧼

A lot of this hits home with me. I worked in a factory for 13 years where we were micromanaged and constantly had people looking over your shoulder I refuse to work like that ever again. I had a one time client a month or so ago that I had to just walk out on because they were this way. Kept coming in the room, wanted me to do things their way, wanted me to use their supplies and tools, wanted me to “read her mind” then got annoyed when I didnt, kept making smart comments to her daughter in other rooms like I couldn’t hear her, constantly in my way. Yes I have clients who are home while I’m there but they stay out of my way. Honestly most cleaners do their best when you’re not home and we can just do our thing. This lady had me so worked up and my anxiety so high I left there crying the whole way to my next client. I pray I never get another client like this but I’m sure it’s bound to happen. As far as your belongings…I could care less about them. They are yours and yours only…I would never take anything from anyone. And you can watch me all you want on your cameras….I have nothing to hide. I tell all my clients if there’s something I miss or something they aren’t happy with just let me know…I’d be glad to fix it. So please for the love of god be nice to your cleaning lady. ❤️

Why some cleaners don’t stick around (from a cleaner’s perspective):

Most cleaners want long-term clients. We value consistency, trust, and mutual respect.
But over time, certain behaviors can make even great cleaners quietly move on.

• Following the cleaner everywhere, watching over their shoulder
• Belittling or disrespectful comments even subtle ones
• The white glove test every visit, especially on floors
• Hiding coins or setting up “tests”
• Late or inconsistent payment
• Lack of appreciation a simple thank you matters
• Continually asking for more without additional pay
(especially add-ons requested when the job is almost finished)
• Unclear or changing expectations

And just to be clear
This isn’t about being afraid of the white glove test or the coins.
That’s not the issue.

The issue is lack of trust.

Being watched, tested, or spoken down to sends a message that your cleaner isn’t trusted and respect matters in any job and any relationship.

Professional cleaning is a luxury service. The best cleaner-client relationships are built on trust, clear communication, fair pay, and mutual respect.

👇 Let’s talk:
Cleaners have you experienced this?
Clients was any of this eye-opening?

Please keep the conversation respectful in the comments.

When you sneak in mom and dad’s room, dig up their bed and get cozy while the cleaning lady is cleaning their bathroom and then she wakes you because it’s time to leave the room! 🤣🤣🤣

Oh Bella…I just love you! 🥰

I have been eyeing these up for awhile and just purchased one! It’s a portable camp shower and it will be a game changer for all those showers that don’t have shower wands to rinse them…especially the big shower rooms! 🥰🧼

THIS is the biggest reason I started my business! My kids! Today I was able to get them off to school, cleaned an air bnb, went to my youngest’s school for her show and tell bookstore, then off to clean a 2 hour house and another air bnb after that AND still was able to get them from school. I’m so thankful to be able to show up for my kids when needed and work at the same time. I’m grateful for my clients who know my kids come first and are flexible so I can attend these events when they pop up. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! 🥰

I have never had a cancellation policy (maybe adding one soon) but have had a few clients do things like this. My business is not just something I do for fun. It’s my job…would you be happy if you showed up for work or your boss called you the day before to tell you there’s no work/pay for you? My pay goes towards bills, groceries, gas, my kids activities etc. so please keep your already set up appointments. I get it…things come up, people get sick but this is my livelihood so try to give me notice so if anything I can fill your spot. Things come up on my end also but I’m always going to reschedule you if possible. Thanks!😊

Get the Most of Your Cleaning By Preparing Your Home

Cleaning services can help you get your home in tip-top shape, but preparing your home before the cleaners arrive can help maximize the effectiveness of the service. Here are some tips to get the most of your professional cleaning by preparing your home:

1. Declutter Your Home

Before the cleaners arrive, take the time to declutter your home. Remove any items that are lying around and put them in their rightful place. Remove any trash or recyclables from the surfaces and dispose of them. This will allow the cleaners to focus on cleaning, rather than picking up clutter.

2. Put Away Valuables and Fragile Items

If you have any fragile or valuable items lying around, put them away in a safe place. This includes items like vases, picture frames, and breakable decor items. This will ensure that they don’t accidentally get damaged during the cleaning process.

3. Clear Surfaces

Make sure that all surfaces are cleared before the cleaners arrive. This includes countertops, tables, and desks. This will give the cleaners more space to work with and allow them to clean more thoroughly.

4. Communicate Your Expectations

Communicate your expectations to the cleaning service before they arrive. Let them know what areas of your home you want them to focus on and what areas you want them to avoid. This will help ensure that you get the most out of your cleaning service.

5. Identify Problem Areas

Identify any problem areas in your home before the cleaners arrive. This includes areas like moldy showers or stained carpets. Pointing out these areas to the cleaners will help ensure that they are addressed during the cleaning process.

6. Schedule Your Cleaning at the Right Time

Schedule your cleaning service at a time that works for you. Make sure that you have enough time to prepare your home before the cleaners arrive. Also, schedule your cleaning service at a time when you will be able to enjoy the benefits of a clean home, like right before a big event or family gathering.
