Good morning, Waynesboro. It is Friday, April 22nd and it is 64 degrees already. Opening the windows this early in the day hasn't always been a comfortable experience, but as summer approaches, it is getting better.
Today's forecast high temperature is 68 degrees, and rain showers are expected this afternoon. This evening threatens to bring thunderstorms.
This morning's picture shows the free vacuums at the Car Lovers Waynesboro Car Wash, near Martin's and Wal-Mart. I don't think I've seen this style of central vacuum before, and definitely not for free. That should take away the problem of sucking up that last fuzzball before the paid time runs out.
Moe's Southwest Grill's Grand Opening, just off Lew DeWitt Boulevard, went very well yesterday. The place stayed busy pretty much all day, even after the first one hundred customers had already snagged their free burritos for the week. Make sure you try them out, and become skilled at operating that soft drink machine.
The Park-to-Park Half-Marathon is coming up on Saturday, April 30th, with the direction changed from previous years. The race will begin in Stuarts Draft Park and end in Waynesboro's Ridgeview Park. For more information, you can visit:

Disney's "Choo-Choo Soul, With Genevieve!" comes to the Historic Wayne Theatre for two shows on Sunday, April 24. at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Tickets are $22 - $28. Show runs approximately 60 minutes with a meet and greet following the live performance. This is an interactive show. Kids will be encouraged to dance and sing along. They’ll even teach some dance moves along the way.
It is Earth Day 2016, so how about doing something good for the ball of dirt tht we inhabit? Ride a bicycle... Use mass transportation (Waynesboro Circulator Bus)... Walk somewhere... Leave your car at home... Whatever...
Have a thoroughly decent Friday.
