Volunteer Opportunities at Vincent House:

We are always looking for new Resident Care Volunteers:
-Volunteers work in teams of 2 during 4-hour shifts.
-Volunteers have direct contact with residents providing assistance in the activities of daily living and friendship to support to residents and their families.
-Resident Care Volunteers are trained in the necessary skills and are encouraged to wo

rk with a volunteer mentor for as long as they need. Support Service Volunteer Teams:
-Vincent House requires several teams of people to do house cleaning (anything from light housework to full seasonal cleaning), outdoor and indoor maintenance, gardening, fund-raising and publicity. Many of you may not know but Vincent House is and has been a long standing member of the Omega Home Network. The Omega Home Network is a national network of individual community homes for dying people! We are so excited and honored to be featured on this season of the Before You Go Podcast hosted by The Abode Contemplative Care for the dying. ABODE is spotlighting homes across the country, and in our upcoming episode our Director, Jackie Council will be talking about the history of Vincent House, the programs we offer, and the unique ways we honor those in their last days and their families! *What date and where?? Sept 27, 12noon-2pm, at the Former Perkinsville Rod and Gun Club.

*Do I need tickets? YES. This BBQ is PICK UP ONLY.

*Where do I get tickets? Hillside Gardens, Quinlans, Dogwood Floral, and Jack's Tavern has tickets still!

*What's this I hear about shoes? We will have a shoe drop off at the front of the drive through line! Drop off your used shoes, and pick up your chicken all in one drive!

👢Kick off these back-to-school days by donating your gently used or new shoes to Vincent House. Clean out your closets and gather those sneakers, sandals, work and winter boots, heels and slippers and drop them off at a collection spot near you!

👢Your donation will soothe your sole knowing that you've helped Vincent House to continue to give compassionate end-of-life care. 👡
