Volunteer Opportunities at Vincent House:

We are always looking for new Resident Care Volunteers:
-Volunteers work in teams of 2 during 4-hour shifts.
-Volunteers have direct contact with residents providing assistance in the activities of daily living and friendship to support to residents and their families.
-Resident Care Volunteers are trained in the necessary skills and are encouraged to work with a volunteer mentor for as long as they need. Support Service Volunteer Teams:
-Vincent House requires several teams of people to do house cleaning (anything from light housework to full seasonal cleaning), outdoor and indoor maintenance, gardening, fund-raising and publicity. 🍁Wishlist Wednesday!🍁

Thank you so much for being such a generous community. We are so proud of the fact that caring for our dying isn't seen as something for 'someone else' to do, but jointly we have been doing this together. Thank you.

We are so close to reaching our goal!!

Our goal is 100 of these bags of shoes - we're at 89!! Could you ask your neighbors and work places and others if they've got any shoes they're not wanting anymore? Gently used or new boots, cleats, slippers, heels, sneakers - all the things! Help us reach our goal by Oct 31!

For those wondering, We're partnering with an organization that will send these shoes overseas to help micro-enterprises support their families. Vincent House will receive a check for the weight of all these bags. Feel free to drop off your shoes at any of our collection boxes:

We've been so amazed at how well this fundraiser has gone! And we're so close to wrapping up!

If you haven't brought your shoes to one of our drop off locations, now is the time to do it. We're going to be collecting everything very soon, and counting up the last few bags!

This is our community, our friends, our family. Vincent House is here for all of us. We are a home, in the middle of the community, intentionally not hidden away. As a community celebrates good news together, and bands together through difficult times, Vincent House is here as a part of the community for the end of life's journey, as we will all face one day.

As a community supports through all the highs and lows of life, Vincent House joins. This is why we will never charge. Our guests and their families will never receive a bill from us. This is why we ask for donations and volunteers, because as we are all a part of this community, we all support our community members at the end of their life's journey.

Through the highs and lows, Vincent House is here, steadfast and quiet. Taking care of our neighbors, our friends, and our families. For 26 years, our mission has never wavered from creating a community, caring for the body and soul of the terminally ill. Even through the evolution of the fabric of our community: changing leadership, uncertain economies, and shifting landscape of small-town life, Vincent House remains constant because of the support and love of this community.

Dakota has raised and auctioned meat birds through Livingston County 4H for 3 years! Each year she chooses a different organization to donate to. This year she chose us, donating a generous donation of $1600!

It is truly a blessing when young folks see the importance of our work and want to support it in any way they can!
