Builders love using paintable silicone caulk to. Cover gaps. As a professional house cleaner I see it in many locations of homes.
Did you know dust doesnt wipe off so friendly from those areas. Dust seems to just stick to it.

So why is it that Dust looks dark on a light surface and Dust looks light on a dark surface??

Dust typically appears light or white on a dark surface because the fine particles scatter a broad spectrum of ambient light efficiently. In contrast, dust looks dark on a light surface because the individual particles absorb or block more light than they scatter, creating a noticeable contrast against the brighter background.

Shower glass requires a decipline, routine maintenance.
To maintain the best looking shower glass, take an extra 2 minutes to wipe off water after each shower.
Once the build up of soap scum starts it is harder to clean and get back that clear shine if your not in a routine of clearing the glass after each shower. Even a professional clean wont last long after and you will soon see soap scum spots again.

Having drains clear is essential to a proper cleaning for showers and sinks.
The water backup causes more scum build up around the shower or sink if not properly draining.
We are not plumbers, although we are able to clear simple clogs that effect our daily hygiene needs. We go above normal cleaning standards to complete extraordinary work for our clients.

Copper sink.
Beause it is made from a soft metal, they oxidize quickly and need routine maintenance cleaning to keep that copper shine.
My favorite and most simple products to use on copper are vinegar and salt.
This client has a protective sealant they request i use, so I do that after it's shiny.

Anyone ever seen these?

Stair dust corners were introduced at the end of the 19th century to make sweeping easier. They kept dust from accumulating in the corners.

As homes became larger and more ornate during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, sweeping and cleaning stairs with their sharp angles and tight spaces became a real chore.

Dust and dirt naturally accumulated in the corners where stair treads met the risers, making it difficult to keep stairs looking clean.

Enter the “stair dust corner”.

These small (often decorative) metal inserts, typically made of brass or nickel, were designed to fit snugly into the corner, eliminating the sharp angle where dust would settle. They created a smooth surface that was much easier to sweep clean, preventing dust and debris from getting trapped.

And then.. by the early 20th century, as vacuum cleaners and new cleaning tools became common, the need for stair dust corners faded.
