Honey’s world has been turned upside down, and our hearts are breaking for her. 💔😣
Sweet Honey is 7 years old, spayed, and an absolute good girl who has found herself in a place she doesn’t understand. Through no fault of her own, Honey was surrendered because her owner’s circumstances changed with age, and they could no longer provide the care she needed. This was a heartbreaking change for everyone, and now Honey is trying to make sense of a whole new world.
Honey is SO scared here. Our staff is being as gentle, patient, and loving with her as possible, doing everything we can to help her feel safe. But the truth is, a shelter is a scary place, especially for a girl who has already lost the home she knew.
We adore this girl. We just want her to feel safe again. We want her to have a soft place to land, a person to trust, and a home where she can finally exhale. Honey seems to do ok with some other dogs. She has lived with cats before, and any children in the home would need to meet her first.
Honey doesn’t need to be perfect. She just needs someone willing to be patient with her. Someone who understands that she may need time to come out of her shell and that the scared girl you meet at the shelter may just need a little love and security to feel like herself again. If you think you could be that person for Honey, please, please come meet her. She deserves to feel safe and loved again. 🥺💗 Help us get this sweet girl out of the shelter and back into a home where she belongs.
