⚠️ A Quick Reminder About Wildlife Problems in Your Home… ⚠️

We’ve been seeing an increase in situations where animals end up trapped inside homes after entry points are sealed too soon.

It’s an easy mistake to make—but unfortunately it can turn into a much bigger problem fast…

❌ Animals chewing through drywall, wood, and even electrical wiring trying to escape
❌ Fire hazards from damaged wires hidden in walls and attics
❌ Strong, lingering odor issues from animals that don’t make it
❌ Health risks from droppings, urine, and contaminated insulation
❌ Babies left behind—leading to noise, smell, and bigger problems
❌ Small issue turning into major (and expensive) damage fast
❌ And many people don’t realize—relocating wildlife off your property is illegal in New York State

Wildlife issues aren’t just about closing a hole—it’s about understanding how animals are getting in, what’s inside, and making sure they can safely get out first.

At CNY Nuisance Wildlife Management, we focus on doing it the right way:

✔ Humane wildlife removal
✔ Proper timing (especially during baby season)
✔ Live Trapping & One-way exit devices
✔ Full home inspection
✔ Sealing ALL entry points for long-term protection

📞 If you’re dealing with a wildlife issue—or even planning repairs where wildlife may be involved—give us a call first.
A quick inspection can save you a lot of time, money, and frustration.

🦇 As temperatures across Northern New York begin to rise, bats that have been hibernating inside attics throughout the winter will start to become active. As they wake and attempt to exit, it’s common for them to end up in living spaces this time of year. Homeowners may notice scratching or movement in the attic, or bats appearing inside the home. At CNY Nuisance Wildlife Management, we provide professional bat control services including detailed inspections, humane exclusion, and complete sealing of all entry points to ensure a long-term solution. A scene of profound tragedy and undeniable loyalty was captured this morning on a cold, slushy shoulder of State Route 12 in Upstate New York. In what is being described by local residents as one of the most heartbreaking wildlife sightings in years, a mature eagle was found standing a grim and protective guard over its companion, who lay motionless in the frozen grime of the roadside.

The discovery was made by a local commuter who noticed the dark shapes against the white snow. Expecting to see scavengers, they were instead met with a sight that forced them to pull over in tears: a survivor refusing to abandon its mate, even as cars sped by just feet away.

"They share everything—the nest, the hunt, the raising of their young," says a specialist from the Thompson Raptor Center. "To see one standing over the other like this, with wings partially spread in a defensive 'mantling' posture, tells us that the survivor is not ready to say goodbye. It is a vigil of pure, unfiltered devotion."

Experts believe the pair may have been lured to the pavement by roadkill—a common but deadly "trap" for eagles during the lean winter months. Because of their massive wingspan and heavy weight, eagles require a "runway" to take flight. When a vehicle approaches at 55 mph, they often cannot achieve lift in time to clear the hood.
