These 2 are going on our Wall of Shame tomorrow. They each stole one of our step stools that our customers use to put detergent in the larger washers. Apparently, cheap step stools are a high value commodity because some people can't just go buy their own.
With any luck, we won't need to replace it again after I put the new one there tomorrow.

We are now selling 5 gallon buckets of laundry detergent. These are a generic version of Tide, Gain and Downy Fabric Softener. These are $40 each. The bucket pumps are an additional $5. Let the attendant know what you need. These need to be cash only. Sorry, no card sales.

Sooo, we received an award. We were voted the best in the area. This is according to reviews that our great customers left for us. We would like to thank every one of you for leaving us positive reviews. We will be hanging this on the wall above the office.

So, in the last 2 days, we have done a complete reset on our employees. Neither one of the 2 that were working for us are still employed. We felt that neither one of them was treating our great customers with the respect that we should be giving them.

Please come by and see me, the owner, until we get a few new employees hired and trained to do things the way we need them to be.

We haven't had any additions to our World Famous "Wall of Shame" for a while. Here's a good one.

This lady came in at 7:02 PM on August 30th, waited for a washer to get done and took the laundry out of it, knowing it wasn't hers. It was a lady that had literally just started it 25 minutes before and was just down the street. After stealing the ladies work clothes, she rummage through the dumpster across the parking lot for 10 minutes. I guess there must have been some good stuff in there because she came out with a bag full of treasures.

We know that she is on foot, so probably within a few blocks, she came from the area of the stop light at 4th and walked back across 4th st on Allen.

If you recognize her, please call Metro Laundry at 319-232-1505 and we can forward the information to the officer that took the call.

So, apparently, the power was not shut off yesterday. They claim that they couldn't do the work because it rained a little bit. Literally, less than 1/4 of an inch. If you know anything about roofers, the only thing they will do if it rains a few drops, is go home.

They are going to try again next Wednesday, September 3rd and if it rains that day, it will be the 4th.
