🧺 Laundry Tip Friday

It can be tempting to cram as much as possible into one load, but overloading your washer or dryer actually works against you.

An overloaded washer can:
✔️ Prevent clothes from getting fully clean
✔️ Leave detergent residue behind
✔️ Cause uneven washing and rinsing

An overloaded dryer can:
✔️ Take much longer to dry
✔️ Leave damp spots
✔️ Create more wrinkles
✔️ Put extra strain on your dryer

For the best results, fill the drum to about ¾ full. This gives your clothes enough room to move freely, so they wash better, rinse better, and dry more evenly.

A little extra space goes a long way toward cleaner, fresher laundry! 🫧

Myth: Hot water gets clothes cleaner.

Truth: Modern detergents are designed to work great in cold water, making it the best choice for most loads.

For most everyday laundry, cold water is the best choice. It helps:
✔️ Protect colors from fading
✔️ Prevent shrinking
✔️ Be gentler on fabrics
✔️ Save energy

When should you use hot water?
🔥 White towels and sheets
🔥 Cleaning cloths and rags
🔥 Items that have been exposed to illness (when the care label allows)
🔥 Heavily soiled whites

Always check the care label first, but for your everyday clothes, cold water gets the job done and helps your clothes last longer.

Laundry Tip 🧺

Fabric softener might make clothes smell nice, but using it all the time can actually wear fabrics down over time.

It leaves a coating behind that can:
• Reduce towel absorbency
• Trap odors in fabrics
• Make athletic wear less breathable
• Cause buildup in the washer

Most clothes really don’t need it to come out clean and fresh.

Sometimes less really is more when it comes to laundry care ✨

No time for laundry?

We’ve got you.

Drop it off, fill out a tag.
We wash, dry, and fold it. We’ll let you know when it’s done.
You pick it up. Pay in pick up by cash or Venmo.

Simple as that. 🧺

Want to make your detergent last longer? 🧺💸

Skip the full cap!

For most loads, 2 tablespoons is all you need to get clothes clean and fresh.

Using more doesn’t help — it actually wastes product and can leave residue behind. Dirt sticks to that residue, leaving your clothes dirtier than usual.

Less soap, better results.
