This is what happens when you do not have your crawlspace dehumidifier serviced. You cannot just install it and forget about it. It has been an extremely busy termite season this year. I would recommend anyone that does not have a Company checking your home annually for termites to have your home inspected. Most Company's offer at least one free inspection. Termites can do a lot of damage to a building and you have no idea it might be your home.

Here it is close to the middle of June and we are still having Termite Swarmers. They started late, but going out with a bang.
Crawlspaces are starting to get really humid. If your crawlspace does not have a dehumidifier in it we would be glad to check it for you. Humidity does not go well in a crawlspace with air condition duct work. It creates all kinds of problems that you don't even notice and could be causing damage to your timbers. We will take pictures and show you what we see. You don't have to break the bank to control humidity in your crawlspace. There are different ways to fix the problem.

A sealed crawlspace is worth the cost as long as the materials that are used last. We use 20 & 10 mil reinforced materials with nylon thread so no tearing. We use proven dehumidifiers, and trust me, they are hard to find. But at Marks Termite & Pest Control We believe we have found 2 different types of units that last.

This house has multiple issues. It has active termites, Moisture Damage, drainage issues and lots of damage. First thing is getting rid of the termites. Which we are doing now. Then repairing the Damage. And in time controlling the Moisture. We will be doing all the work hopefully.

Silverfish or very destructive. They eat paper, the glue out of furniture. Certain types of insulation. They will live anywhere in your home. The # 1 spot is in your attic. They are not easily controlled and might take some time. Don't be fooled by those who tell you that they can take care of them in one service.
