Airbnb is ending checkout chores. 🧹
For reservations booked on or after Nov 20, 2026, hosts can't require guests to strip beds, start laundry, wash and put away dishes, or take trash off-site.
Still OK to ask: dishes in the sink, used towels gathered, trash and recycling sorted into indoor bins, AC off when leaving, lock up.
Keep chore requests up and your listing may show "includes cleaning requests."

Vrbo's fee is changing on Oct 29. 📉
New bookings made on or after Oct 29 pay one flat 12% host commission (it's charged on cleaning and pet fees too, with payment processing included). Until now, PMS-connected managers paid 5%, and most other hosts paid about 8% once you count payment processing.
On a $1,000 booking, that's $120 instead of $50 or $80.
Bookings made before Oct 29 keep the old rate.

6 turnover tips that protect your 5-star reviews ⭐🧹

1️⃣ Work top to bottom, dry before wet
2️⃣ Start where guests look first: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom
3️⃣ Fresh linens and clean towels, every stay
4️⃣ Check what guests left behind, and what broke, and tell the manager right away
5️⃣ Restock before you run out
6️⃣ Don't forget the Florida details: lanai, pool area, humidity and AC
