Allow me to take a minute to brag on our crew. These guys work HARD. No matter the weather, no matter the job, they show up and get it done. Ninety five degrees with unbearable humidity? They are out working. Freezing temps and 2 feet of snow on the ground? Same. They do work that most people wouldn’t do and they do it well.
This week we had a massive project for one of our orthopedic customers that required all hands on deck. This team put in 3 incredibly long, hard days of hot, tedious, and DIRTY work. They came in early and stayed late. They worked together and worked their butts off. We couldn’t be more thankful for the time and dedication they showed to get this huge job done.
That being said, in addition to July 4th, we will be closed on Friday to give them a much needed and very much deserved long weekend. We’ll be back to regular business on Monday, July 8th.
We hope all our customers and friends have a fun and safe Independence Day! 🎆🧨🎇

Our entire crew will be working on a big project this weekend. In order to give them a true holiday weekend, we will be closed Monday, 7/3 in addition to Independence Day. We hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!🎆🎇

Take two🎬

Remember last week when I told you all it was Tom’s 30th? Well, apparently our record keeping wasn’t as accurate in 1992 because the day is actually TODAY! Sorry Tom🤦‍♀️ I guess when you’re with a company this long you get two celebrations!

Today is a very special day as Tom Decker is celebrating 30 years with W**d, Inc. You read that right-THIRTY years! It’s not too often someone stays at any job for 30 years, let alone a job in this industry.
Over the past 30 years, Tom has been much more than an employee; he has become a true friend to the entire W**d family. He has attended weddings, anniversary celebrations, and birthday parties. He ran Susie’s newspaper route when we went on summer vacation. He’s taken care of our dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and pigs over the years. He’s rescued more than one of us when we’ve had car trouble or flat tires. He’s cleared land for new homes and has helped us move. In what is probably the truest testament to his friendship, he served as a pallbearer at the funerals of both of Rick’s parents and Susie’s father.
What started as a summer job in 1993 turned into a 30 year career, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without Tom’s loyalty, dedication, and knowledge. We are thankful for the long-term relationships he has built over the years with so many of our customers. We know many of you have chosen us because of him. Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Tom on his 30 year anniversary with W**d, Inc.!
