We had quite a rainy morning this morning. On days like today the rain comes down so heavy and so fast it doesn't have time to soak into the ground. It travels, floods, and moves around. Sometimes moving right into your basement. When we get water damage calls on days like today its usually caused by a failed sump pump.
I suggest everyone with a sump pump head to their basements today and make sure it is working properly. Dump a bucket of water in the pit and make sure it powers on and pumps out.
If you find water already in your basement, give us a call and we can help handle it. The longer you wait the more damage will be done.
Spring is almost here.

The snow is finally clearing, and mud season is almost here. Our schedule is about to start filling up with spring cleanings. Consider getting ahead of the crowd and getting your carpets or floors scheduled for an early spring cleaning. Or get your appointment scheduled now to lock in the date you want. We currently have coupon specials running. You may not find them in the paper this time but if you ask about them when you call, we will be happy to give you our specials.

It's that time of year again, and boy is it a cold one.
With these terribly low freezing temperatures we see a good number of frozen pipes. Sometimes these pipes will burst while it's still very cold, other times the pipes will wait until they begin to thaw a little to start flooding your house with water.
Here at Gatesway we are certified to handle your structural drying. We pump out standing water, we remove wet materials that will not or cannot dry, and we install dehumidifiers and air movers to get your home dry as fast as possible.

Your first order of business is to get a plumber or a trusted contractor in there to identify and fix the issue with the pipe. Then call us at 814-726-2730 to come in and get it dry before you have any unpleasant odors or mold. Remember the longer the water sits the more damage it causes.

Our new spring coupons came out on April 10th just in time for spring cleaning. If you call to schedule an appointment you do not need the coupon in hand to get the discount, just tell us you heard about it.
Nows a great time to freshen up your home after that long winter.

Gatesway will be closed for the holidays Monday the 23rd, Tuesday the 24th and Wednesday the 25th, we will resume regular operation on Thursday the 26th.

Good morning,
This snow has really accumulated quite a bit. It looks like Monday is going to bring us warmer temperatures and rain. This means the snow will melt very fast and that water needs somewhere to go. For some of you the snow melt is going to chose your basement for a place to flood.
This is a reminder to go to your basement and make sure your sump pump is working properly. This will greatly minimize damage to your property and likely save you a whole lot of money.

We have had quite a few clients surprised that we are busy this summer. As of posting this our earliest available appointment is Tuesday August 20th.
It's that time of year that family comes to visit, or you want your house cleaned before you leave for vacation, or even a cleaning when you get back from vacation. Schedule ahead. Make carpet cleaning a part of your vacation plans.
We are booked full, if you're looking for a cleaning in September or November it may be wise to call us now.
