Loving Them Without Losing You - The 12 Spiritual Shifts Workbook

When someone you love is struggling with addiction, it's easy to put your entire life on hold.

You wait for the phone to ring. You worry. You hope. You pray. You try to fix what was never yours to fix.

But healing doesn't mean you stop loving them.
It means learning that you can love them deeply while still taking care of yourself.

That is why I created the 12 Spiritual Shifts—a path designed to help families move from fear, panic, guilt, and emotional exhaustion toward peace, healthy boundaries, self-trust, and healing.

These shifts are not about changing your loved one.
They are about changing the way addiction impacts your life.
✨ Releasing Control
✨ Hope Beyond Fear
✨ Surrendering Panic
✨ Honest Self-Reflection
✨ Telling the Truth
✨ Releasing Old Patterns
✨ Transforming Pain Into Wisdom
✨ Repairing What Chaos Harmed
✨ Wise Restoration
✨ Returning to Alignment
✨ Inner Guidance and Peace
✨ Sharing Hope Without Losing Yourself

You can support their recovery without sacrificing your own peace.

You can set boundaries without abandoning them.

You can have hope without carrying the weight of their choices.

Because recovery is not only for the person struggling with addiction.

Healing is available for the people who love them, too.

For years, I believed loving someone meant fixing them, rescuing them, worrying about them, and carrying burdens that were never mine to carry.

That belief nearly broke me, several times.

Their addiction was the substance. Mine was trying to fix and control them.

What I eventually learned is that healing isn't about loving someone less. It's about loving yourself enough to stop losing yourself in the process.

That journey inspired me to write my book, Loving Them Without Losing You and to create the 12 Spiritual Shifts for families affected by addiction, chaos, and codependency.

I recently made a group on Facebook called - Loving Them Without Losing You.

It is a place for parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, friends, and anyone who loves someone struggling with addiction or destructive behaviors with:
✨ Daily encouragement
✨ Boundary and recovery tools
✨ Journal prompts and self-reflection
✨ Honest conversations
✨ A supportive community that understands

NEWLY FORMED FACEBOOK GROUP-
LOVING THEM WITHOUT LOSING YOU

💜 Have You Ever Loved Someone So Much It Hurt? 💜

There was a time when I thought if I loved harder, worried more, sacrificed more, or said the perfect thing, I could save the people I loved from addiction.

Boy, was I wrong.

What I eventually learned was that love and control are not the same thing.

After years of trying everything—threats, tough love, disowning, punishing them, and punishing myself—I learned that I could love them deeply without carrying responsibilities that were never mine to carry.

I learned that boundaries are not punishment, and that taking care of myself does not mean I love them any less.

Those lessons didn't come easily. They came through years of heartbreak, fear, hope, mistakes, growth, and healing.

That is why I recently created the "Loving Them Without Losing You" community on Facebook.

It is a place for parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, friends, and anyone who loves someone struggling with addiction or destructive behaviors.

✨ Daily encouragement
✨ Boundary and recovery tools
✨ Journal prompts and self-reflection
✨ Honest conversations
✨ A supportive community that understands

No judgment. No shame. Just people learning how to love without losing themselves.
If this speaks to your heart, I would love to have you join us.

And whether you're already in the group orjust reading this post, I'd love to hear from you:

What is one thing you wish someone had told you when addiction first entered your family?

After years of loving people through addiction, relapse, chaos, fear, heartbreak, and healing, I finally turned my experience into something I hope may help others who are walking this path too.
I recently published my first book: Loving Them Without Losing You A 12 Spiritual Shifts Workbook for Families of Loved Ones in Addiction
This workbook was written for the mothers, fathers, grandparents, partners, children, and loved ones who slowly lost themselves while trying to save someone they love.
It is not about giving up on people. It is about learning how to love deeply while also protecting your own peace, identity, and well-being.
Inside are healing reflections, boundaries, emotional tools, nervous system support, journal prompts, and the 12 Spiritual Shifts that helped me through some of the hardest seasons of my life.
I know how isolating loving someone in addiction can feel, so if this resonates with anyone here, I truly hope it offers comfort, validation, or support.
Thank you for allowing me to share it. ❤️
