Operation of water and waste water treatment system

WE ARE HIRING!!

CAMO is looking for a Water/Sewer Operator ( we are willing to train). Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4pm with rotating weekend and holiday hours. Compensation is based on experience. The position is in our Wappingers location. Valid drivers license is required.

Mechanically inclined and able to lift at least 35 lbs. Will be responsible for entry level water/sewer plant operations including but not limited to the following;

Operate pumps, valves, motors and related machinery and equipment

Perform maintenance work, inspect and repair machinery and equipment

Record readings from meters, gauges and scales

Regulate and adjust chemical feeders and take samples of water and wastewater for testing

Perform required water and wastewater testing for control of plant operations

Keep plant logs and related records

May perform custodial duties in connection with maintenance of building and grounds

UPDATE…… Repair was completed around 3pm. Residents on Crossway may experience discolored water but it remain potable at all times. Open large water lines, such as a bathtub, to flush.

CAMO Pollution Control has been made aware of a water main break in Hudson View in the Rombout Water District. Crossway Rd. will experience low pressure and periodic outages.

United Wappingers Watermain Repair ****UPDATE as of 1pm

On Tuesday, 6/16/26 starting at 9am, CAMO Pollution Control will be a repairing a leak on New Hackensack Rd. A limited number of residents on New Hackensack (approximately from Cindy Lane to 100 New Hackensack) will experience low water pressure and periodic outages in order to facilitate the repair.
