It is with heavy hearts that we officially announce the passing of one of our K9s. We found out last week that Sadie has cancer. On Tuesday we helped her transform into the most beautiful Angel! Her cancer worked behind the scenes, showing zero signs until about a month ago. After multiple tests, blood work, and failed medications, it was clear what decision had to be made. It was an incredibly hard decision, but watching her go downhill rapidly in 3 weeks was even harder. Just over a month ago she was working and doing her usual inspections and she was ON FIRE!! She LOVED working! That was her bread and butter, her purpose! She was ready to tackle the next inspection. Moving forward to Tuesday…we did not want her to suffer, and it was very clear that she was suffering as the days went on. The only red flag that we knew something was wrong was that she stoppped eating. Tuesday morning she was barely able to stand, walk, sit, or lay down with ease. She was becoming more uncoordinated, lethargic, and disoriented. She went very peacefully on Tuesday with her handler and main partner David, and her secondary handler Stephanie. Sadie is another K9 that helped strive to get Impressive K9 & Pest started, and made our company what it is today. She was a huge value to our team, not only working beside us, but at home. Where she gave unconditional love every single day! She will truly be missed! We appreciate the flooding of unconditional love and support from our Sandbridge community, friends and family!
