Just a little perspective from the cleaning industry! 🧹✨
There’s a difference between a standard cleaning and a deep cleaning, and understanding that difference makes all the difference!
Every cleaning company offers different services, each with its own checklist and level of detail. A standard cleaning should always be done thoroughly and professionally, but some of the more detailed tasks are typically reserved for deep cleanings.
For example, moving furniture to clean underneath and behind it, detailing air vents, scrubbing baseboards, wiping down walls, and cleaning blinds are all tasks that require additional time and labor. These are often things people expect to be included in a basic cleaning without necessarily wanting to pay for the more extensive service.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having high standards for your home! Everyone deserves quality work and to feel satisfied with the services they receive.
But if you’re consistently unhappy with the level of detail provided during your standard cleanings, ask yourself why.
Is your cleaner actually failing to complete the services you’ve paid for, or are you expecting certain areas to be addressed that aren’t typically included in a standard cleaning?
Sometimes feeling like you’re “compromising” on the level of detail simply means the service you’ve booked may not align with the level of cleaning you’re expecting.
It’s not always about the quality of the work. Sometimes it’s about making sure the service matches the expectations.
A standard cleaning should never mean substandard work, but it also shouldn’t be expected to include everything a deep cleaning does.
At the end of the day, you deserve quality work for what you’re paying, and cleaning professionals deserve fair compensation for the work being requested. 💚
