• Digging, lifting, and physical labor on job sites.

• Pouring concrete to construct quality septic tanks.

Toilet not flushing? Don’t waste $150 calling the wrong person. Read this first:

Before you pick up the phone, here’s a quick way to figure out who you actually need, a plumber or septic company.

Step 1: Check the septic tank
•Open the inlet lid.
• If the inlet baffle is clogged, clear it.
• If the baffle is clear but underwater, go to the outlet side.
•Open the outlet lid.
• If there’s a filter, pull it and clean it.
• If there’s no filter but the outlet pipe is underwater, you likely have a drainfield issue.
→ Call a septic company.

Step 2: Inlet and outlet are both clear, and not underwater, but toilet still won’t flush?
•Check your sewer cleanout (usually a white pipe outside near the house).
• If it’s full or overflowing, the clog is between the house and the septic tank.
→ Call a plumber.
• If the cleanout is empty, it’s likely just a toilet clog.
→ Call a plumber.

Bonus tip: Always tell the plumber if you’re on city sewer or a septic system. It matters.

This simple check can save you money, time, and the frustration of someone showing up, charging you a service call fee, and telling you to call someone else.
