Wool isn't just breathable and warm, it's actually being studied for its impact on skin health. Research shows superfine Merino wool can create a stable microclimate against the skin that helps manage moisture, and studies have even found it can ease symptoms of eczema (atopic dermatitis) when worn close to skin. Turns out that "itchy wool" reputation has more to do with fiber diameter than wool itself: finer fibers bend instead of poking. Curious about the science?
