One of the easiest ways to keep your lawn healthy through the summer is mowing at the proper height and watering correctly.

✅ Bermuda Grass
• Mow at 1 to 2 inches
• Mow frequently enough that you never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade at one time

✅ Fescue Grass
• Mow at 3 to 4 inches
• Keeping fescue taller helps shade the soil, conserve moisture, and reduce heat stress during Oklahoma's hot summers

💧 Watering Tips
• Water deeply and infrequently rather than a little every day
• Aim for about 1 to 1½ inches of water per week, including rainfall
• Water in the early morning to reduce evaporation and help prevent disease
• Watch for signs of drought stress, such as footprints remaining visible in the grass or a bluish-gray color
