The Kissing Bug look a-like known as the leaf footed bug.
I had a leaf footed bug land on my window today and thought it might be good to share the differences between it and the infamous Kissing bug. These two insects can appear to be very similar at first and are both found in Oklahoma.
Kissing bugs, on the right side of the comparison photo, feed on blood and are active mostly at night. Adult kissing bugs are about 1/2 to 1 inch long. Over 55% of kissing bugs are infected with the parasite, Trypanosoma Cruzi, that causes the Chagas disease. Kissing bugs can and will feed on people, dogs, live stock, and wild animals. When feeding, they do not attach like ticks, and rarely does the host feel their bite. The kissing bug gets it’s name because it prefers to bite the soft membrane parts of the skin this includes the lips.

The clearest characteristic that can help you determine between the kissing and the leaf footed bug is the flared leaf like tibia on the back legs - hence the name.
