Another Car with an amazing story! This gondola started its life as a Reading car, and somehow ended up as a Conrail repaint. the original markings are visible under the paint out. It got dirty, as many gondolas do, and after it came into the conrail fleet, it was hit by graffiti artist "BASH". It would look great in any post CR train. It was built by MicroTrains Line in Talent, Oregon and decorated by Micro Trains by Atlas's team in Albany, Oregon. Now available at nscaleenthusiast.com

We LOVE a car with a story. This Conrail beast has had a life. It started as a New York Central asset, then was repainted and became Penn Central owned, and as you see here, its a Conrail car. The dirt is earned, and the paint overs on the logo and on the road markings are what happened as all the mergers came to be. This car was produced for us by Micro Trains Line, and finished for the NSE by MicroTrains by Atlas. Now available on nscaleenthusiast.com

For those of you who aren't aware, the NSE is a total volunteer organization. All of our volunteers do this or the love of the scale, and have a great time doing it. That said, many of our folks have very interesting histories outside of their volunteer work. For example, our Auction Master Doug Hickman is a member of the Michigan Music Hall of Fame for his work at the Drum kit in the band "The Royal Coaschmasn". check it out here:

When money was tight, the Southern Pacific worked with Greenbrier/Gunderson to repair older railcars and then lease them back to the railroad. These cars carried this classic dark blue paint with a yellow/red logo. Although the program ended, many of the cars survived long after the SP was folded into the Union Pacific.
