Village Plaza Garden Join our Neighborhood Garden and orchard with 25 plots for families to grow their own food. Prefernce to returning gardeners.

Info to sign up for 2020 growing season will be posted on the kiosk bulletin board by Sunday 3/22/20. Village Plaza Garden at is a great way to meet your neighbors, spend some quality time outdoors and learn to grow your own food and take care of a garden. If you’ve never gardened before, this is a great way to learn, whether you are 7 years old or 70. Community gardens provide fresh produce and plants, neighborhood improvement, and a sense of connection to people and to the environment. The garden will consist of some individual plots, as well as a shared space where you can learn to garden with others. The Garden invites you, your family, your neighbors and friends to participate and share in our harvest. This garden is located between the Everyday Deals and Love Laundry on St John’s Blvd in Rose Village Neighborhood.

Growing season is here! If you had a plot at Village Plaza in 2016, please notify of your intent to come back again in 2017 by email to [email protected] or calling 360-992-9969. Plots not claimed by March 30 will be made available to new gardeners, first come, first served.

Saturday March 25, 9am - 1pm, returning gardeners can complete agreement and pay the $20 per plot fee. One plot per family. Names will be taken for interested gardeners and available plots will be given on a first come first served basis. With sufficient interest, additional plots may be added.

Join us this Saturday 3/25/17, 9am to 1pm for the next step in the process of refreshing the cement planters in Village Plaza and around Rose Village Neighborhood. Thanks to Wiggins Painting for pressure washing some of the planters already. Dress for the weather, bring gloves if you have them. If we have enough volunteers, we may also do some general garden cleanup during this time. See you there!!

Compost party will be THIS Saturday at 4pm! At 39th and P street, on the hill.
We will also do another session on August 20th to finish up anything
that doesn't get finished on Saturday and to answer any additional
questions!
See you there!

Please bring a pair of gardening gloves, a snack to share if you'd
like, and something to drink (it may still be a bit warm at 4pm)!

Come on out for our FREE pancake breakfast this saturday 9-11 and help us kick off the "City of Abundance" mural. Bob's Red Mill has donated pancake mix, Inspiration Plantation has donated eggs and Americans Building Community are bringing strawberries.
It'll be a street party in the Rose Village Neighborhood!
