As I prepare to welcome my little blessing, I’ve made the decision to begin maternity leave earlier than expected due to health reasons.

While I’ll be stepping away from hands-on organizing, Neat With Ease isn’t slowing down! 🙌🏾

I remind my clients often: When you know exactly what you own—from dresses and blouses to skirts, pants, jackets, handbags, and shoes—you can start shopping your own closet! 🛍️

But here’s the key: You can’t appreciate what you own if you can’t see it.

For this particular client, life had gotten busy, and they hadn’t had the opportunity to fully unpack their wardrobe in over TWO years!

My team and I helped bring everything into view, creating an opportunity to rediscover forgotten pieces, identify what no longer served them, and decide what was worth keeping for another season.

When a corner starts collecting everything, the best first step is to pull out everything in sight so you can see exactly what you’re working with. From there, sort items into a few macro categories—like keep, donate, relocate, trash, or broad groups such as papers, toys, and craft supplies.

Before diving into the smaller details, show those categories to the client. It helps them understand the big picture, make decisions faster, and feel more confident before moving into the micro categories and final organizing systems.

A cluttered corner can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down step by step makes the process so much easier. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s creating a space that works better for the people using it. 💕
