Ivy can add character to a home, but when it's left unchecked, it can also create conditions that pests take advantage of.

Dense vegetation against the exterior can:
• Provide shelter for insects and spiders
• Hold moisture against the building
• Make it easier to hide entry points
• Give rodents cover as they travel along the structure

That doesn't mean every ivy-covered home has a pest problem—but regular trimming and inspections can help reduce the risk.

Have questions about pest prevention around your home? We're happy to help.

While treating a property in Great Neck, we came across a honeybee colony inside a hollow tree.

Since honeybees are important pollinators, we didn’t destroy the colony. We worked with the homeowner to arrange safe removal by a local beekeeper.

Responsible pest control starts with proper identification and choosing the right solution.

Have you ever discovered a bee colony on your property?

Here is a look at Eric out in the field handling a recent yellowjacket treatment.

When a nest is hidden inside structural wood or behind walls, a targeted professional application is the best way to resolve it. Yellowjackets become very active when disturbed, which is why Eric is suited up in full protective gear to safely complete the job.

If you notice an active nest on your property, it is always safest to have a professional team handle the application.

What We Found During a Recent Rodent Inspection at a home in Garden City, NY. 🐭

Trapping mice is only part of the solution. One of the most important steps is finding how they're getting inside in the first place.

During this inspection, we located an entry point that allowed rodents into the property. Gaps around utility lines, garage doors, vents, and foundations are some of the areas we routinely inspect.

Identifying and addressing entry points can help reduce the chance of future rodent activity.

Found these mosquito larvae today during a service in Westbury.

This is where mosquitoes start. Before they become the adults flying around your yard, they spend the early part of their life in standing water.

After the recent rain, it's a good time to check around your property for anything holding water, such as buckets, toys, planters, clogged gutters, tarps, or unused pools.

Sometimes the best mosquito control starts with finding the source.

One of the biggest frustrations homeowners have is seeing mosquitoes return not long after a treatment.

The truth is, mosquitoes don't just rest in shrubs and trees—they're constantly laying eggs in small, hidden water sources around your property and sometimes even on neighboring properties.

That's why we don't rely on just one treatment. Our mosquito control program combines professional barrier treatments with the In2Care Mosquito Station to help target active mosquitoes while also disrupting the breeding cycle.

Every property is different, so we start with an inspection to determine the best approach for your yard.

Hearing scratching in the walls or finding small droppings around your home can be frustrating, especially when you’re not sure where the activity is coming from.

Rodent problems often start with small openings around the exterior of the home, including gaps near foundations, garage doors, vents, and utility lines. Once mice or rats find a way inside, they may stay hidden in walls, attics, basements, or storage areas.

We put together more information on how rodent control works and what homeowners should look for:
