Great news!
Craft3 has received $20 million from the Washington State Department of Ecology to continue providing affordable Clean Water Loans to homeowners across Washington.
When a septic system fails, families don't have the luxury of waiting. Repairs can cost $20,000–$45,000 or more, creating an unexpected financial crisis that threatens homes, public health, and clean water. This investment ensures that homeowners — especially those in rural and underserved communities — can continue accessing the financing they need when they need it most.
Since 2016, this partnership has:
💧 Helped more than 2,500 households repair or replace failing septic systems
💧 Deployed more than $70 million in affordable financing
💧 Protected families, drinking water, and the health of communities across the state
Heather Watts, OSS Program Supervisor at the Department of Health, reflects: "This essential program helps communities protect public health and improve the quality of water resources by helping homeowners access the funding needed to address failing septic systems before there is a greater financial and environmental impact."
