One year ago today, we started something that we had been dreaming of for several years. This past year has flown by, and has been bigger and better than anything we had imagined. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us, we have met so many wonderful people along the way, and found this work to be much more rewarding than I bet most people would perceive it to be. We are growing and are excited about the future of this business, and by expanding we hope to serve many more awesome clients. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

FAQ: What should I add to our tank to keep it performing well?

Answer: There are three layers within your septic tank’s contents: scum, liquid, and sludge. Adding anything to “break things down” hurts your system. Everything sinks and floats as it should until an additive breaks your solids down to the point they achieve a neutral buoyancy, (neither sink nor float) which allows those small particles to mix in the liquid portion and exit in to your drainfield. Once it reaches its endpoint and the water dissipates, the solids are left there. Over time, this builds up and causes a failure in your system. Just use the bathroom, keep a regular maintenance schedule, and your system has a chance to outlive its approximate life span.

FUN FACTS: What is a septic system REALLY?

Although many people have them on their property, many owners do not understand the process that is a healthy septic system, and that's okay!

A septic system is an eco-friendly, affordable, and low-maintenance underground onsite sewage treatment and disposal system designed for residential or commercial buildings. Organic matter is released into the system as wastewater and separated from the solids and floatable matter, then, released back into the environment via the drainfield. If maintained properly, this system is an excellent waste management alternative.
