Even if Hilda loses her record in the near future, as revealed in today's blog post by Guinness World Records where her claim to the title was officially stamped, her organization and preparedness should make every Nigerian proud.

"Hilda prepared for the event by creating a 35-item menu as a guide for every meal she would cook."

She did not improvise the meals or make them up as she went. She was like the Biblical man, who intending to build a tower, sitteth down first, and counteth the cost.

It is a testament to her world-class professionalism that we should all strive to emulate in this increasingly global village.

And even though we consider her a superhuman for her incredible feat, Guinness Records still deducted almost seven hours from her final total (93 hours 11 minutes) because she mistakenly took extra minutes during one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.

Thus, she is a human who can make mistakes even at the highest level. Yet mistakes have never hindered the truly great in their craft.

Again, in that, Hilda teaches us.

Take a bow, Hilda! You make the country proud.
