Something we would like to point out! If you have this kind of buildup occurring on the heat exhaust grate inside of the drum of your dryer, you should have the dryer cleaned thoroughly. What we see in this picture is melted synthetic fibers plugging the grate. This is caused by overloading the dryer and neglecting to clean the dryer from lint and debris deep inside the cabinet. Having a grate plugged not only reduces air flow and decreases the efficiency of the dryer, it also prevents the dryer from properly regulating heat and can cause damage to the dryer itself.

A very unfortunate situation this morning involving a dryer fire in a commercial business early this morning in Tulsa.
Type2 dryers like this one are also dryers in need of cleaning and the exhaust systems of which they are connected.
We are thankful the TFD was able to respond so quickly.
Running a dryer like this without proper maintenance is a very large fire risk!

All dryers residential and commercial at some point need cleaned of lint accumulation for fire safety. Do not wait until it is too late!

A dirty dryer vent may not always be the only thing that hurts the efficiency of your dryer!
Often it is the overlooked condition of the air moving components of the dryer itself!
