I always wanted to run my own company, be my own boss, make my own schedule, and set and accomplish my own goals. A USA Today newspaper article I read in 2002 stuck in my head as a realistic way to do this. The story was about a man who started a p**per scooper business in the Washington, D.C., area that became very successful. Ginny and I have always loved dogs. We had three dogs back then: a Ger
man shepherd, a black lab, and a pointer mix. We were well aware of the daily challenges of cleaning up our pup’s p**ps, and we had developed a very efficient way of scooping. After I was downsized in 2009, I remembered that article. Ginny and I decided it was time to start Dog Butler LLC. We started with 15 customers during our first year. Ginny did the books, we both did the advertising, and I did the scooping. We are very proud of what we have built since then. We’ve got a great group of trained, insured, and conscientious employees, and we all take pride in our personal touch. As a locally owned business, we serve Fairfield County, CT, some of New Haven County, CT, and Armonk, NY. We look forward to helping you say goodbye to daily scoop duties!
