I'm posting a list of things not to put down the drain.
Every now and then it helps to be reminded of these things so that our sewer system can continue to function properly and not have expensive breakdowns and repairs. We operate on a small budget and want to continue to offer you problem free service for a reasonable price. We are all aware in today's economy that even small repairs can be expensive.
Hygiene products (e.g. sanitary napkins/liners, tampons, condoms, wipes, cotton swabs, dental floss, diapers and rags)
Fats, oils and cooking grease
Medication (e.g. pills or liquid)
Household hazardous waste (e.g. paints, pesticides, cleaning products)
Car and garage products (e.g. motor oil, antifreeze)
Coffee grounds
Large food debris
This is just a short list of the most obvious items. Just keep in mind that if it won't break down it needs to go in the garbage can to make a trip to the landfill.
Just because it will go down the drain or flush doesn't mean it should.
