Today’s shower scrub put up one HECK of a fight! 😅🧼I knew this one would be tough, but boy, did it challenge us!

I used a razor to carefully remove buildup from the tile and my Ryobi power scrubber to tackle the tub. I couldn’t promise perfection given its condition, but we sure got it CLEAN! 💪✨

Another reminder that sometimes a little extra elbow grease goes a long way!

Mistakes are part of learning — especially in the cleaning industry! 🧼

On these floors, I once used a product that wasn’t the proper pH for the flooring. It took extra time to steam mop and remove the product, but thankfully I was able to restore the floors to their beautiful shine — and I never made that mistake again!

Cleaning is so much more than spraying and wiping. Knowing your products, reading your product labels, pH levels, flooring types, and equipment is essential to properly caring for your clients’ homes.

We learn, we grow, and we do better! 💚

Knowing how to properly clean a floor starts with understanding what type of flooring you’re working with, whether it has a finish or is unfinished, what type of mop and tools are appropriate, and which cleaners are safe to use.

Even the pH of your cleaning solution matters. The type of debris, buildup, or mess you’re removing also determines what product and method should be used. Using the wrong product or technique can leave behind residue, damage the finish, or even shorten the life of the flooring.

There are so many factors that go into properly and safely maintaining floors—and knowing what’s best practice comes from knowledge, experience, and knowing what you’re looking at.

Specializing in floors means being able to walk into a home, look at the flooring, and understand what it needs before ever reaching for a mop.

And these beautiful floors? I’ve quite literally mastered cleaning them.

Cleaning the ventilation system is an important part of post-construction cleaning. Fine construction dust can accumulate inside the vents and ductwork, and if they aren’t properly cleaned, that dust can circulate back into the space after the cleaning is complete—coating surfaces all over again. Properly cleaning the ventilation system helps ensure the space stays truly clean after the construction dust has been removed.
