📢 MEET TWIG! 🫎🏒
Why "Twig"? We’re glad you asked! There’s more to this name than meets the eye:
The Hockey Connection: As most lovers of the game know, "twig" is the ultimate term of endearment for our favorite piece of lumber—the hockey stick.
The Local Heritage: We wanted a name that honors the land we call home. The Anishinaabe people of Minnesota speak Anishinaabemowin, and the English word "moose" actually derives from their language. In Anishinaabemowin, the word 'mooz' translates to "twig eater."
A Community Choice 🏆
A huge congratulations to Patrick Brewer, the winning contestant who submitted the name and the story behind it! Not only was "Twig" our favorite match, but it also received the most likes during the competition.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated. This contest was a ton of fun and there were SOOOOOOOOO many great names submitted. Choosing just one was incredibly difficult, but we couldn't be happier with the result.
