Custom backyard pools can transport you into a relaxed vacation mindset, without having to pack and get on a plane to a tropical location. But there are some pools, like this one in Bali, that have us wondering if our passports are up to date. If you got an all expenses paid trip to this pool, who would you bring (tag them) and what drink would you have in your hand ;p

Did you know that Hipp Pools also specializes in pool repair? Should an issue arise with any of your pool spa equipment, please don’t hesitate to give us a call! We can set up a time to come out. It’s not going to fix itself, and unfortunately the problem can quickly multiply.

As the owner of a pool, you probably already know that the responsibilities and maintenance of that beautiful pool don’t end as the weather cools. You might be taking fewer dips (especially if your pool doesn’t have a heater), but continuing the up-keep in the fall and winter is essential for a smooth and easy transition to pool use again in the Spring.

But how should you maintain your pool in the off season? What do you need to change? Is there anything you need to fix or change or upgrade (This is the time to do it)? Give us a call – we would be happy to take pool maintenance off your to do list and put it on ours.

💔💙Swim safety is so important!

I spoke to Judah’s mom this morning. These are pictures of the handprint and footprint tattoos she has to honor her son who was 3 years old when he died due to a drowning accident almost 5 years ago.

Have you heard their story? He was already out of the swimming pool, sitting next to her and resting, when she turned to a friend for mere seconds before turning back and he was gone back to the water. (Visit the Judah Brown Project to learn more.)

Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands in collaboration with The Woodlands Family YMCA , The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch, and Montgomery County Hospital District are partnering to get water safety info out into our communities as a way to reduce childhood drownings. Drowning is preventable, and making sure your child has swim lessons is a big first step.

❤Starting today, you can sign up for the YMCA Splash Day event scheduled for Saturday, May 22 from 1pm-4pm. Your child ages 3-12 gets a free 30-minute swim lesson, and you walk away from the event with lots of swim safety education such as how to be safe around pools, proper sizing for life jackets, and child CPR info. There are giveaways and refreshments to boot!
