Here's what most people don't realize about marble: it's a calcium-based stone, which means acidic cleaners (even some bathroom sprays) can literally dissolve the surface, leaving dull spots called etches. Those ring-shaped marks aren't stains. They're acid etch damage. Marble is made of calcium carbonate, which means it reacts chemically with acids found in coffee, wine, citrus juice, vinegar, and even some household cleaners. The result?
