Bat Season Is Here in Tampa. What Homeowners Need to Know
From April through August, bats enter maternity season—meaning colonies grow quickly as pups are born and begin to mature. During this time, removal options become more limited due to wildlife protection laws.
We’re already seeing increased activity in attics and rooflines. Common signs of bats in your home:
• Scratching or chirping sounds at dusk/dawn
• Staining around rooflines or vents
• Strong ammonia-like odors (guano buildup)
• Bats seen flying in/out of your home at sunset
