Partner Pest Control took on Atlanta at the NCUE conference (National Conference of Urban Entomology). This gathering happens once every two years and gives a chance for Master and Doctorate students to share their research on pests, prevention techniques and new products coming to market. With our temperature swings, stink bugs come out of their hibernation-like state (called diapause) and often emerge from inside walls and attics into living spaces. That’s why they seem to appear out of nowhere.

Got a call from a customer who cut down a dead tree and afterwards found honey bees inside. We came out and removed the section of tree that housed the hive. With the cold, rain and snow coming in a few hours we are working to give this hive its best chance in the weeks ahead!

Many pests will harbor in the soil level beneath them and pesticides have a hard time getting through them to control those pests. So whether you spray for bugs yourself or hire someone to perform that service, rake those leaves!
