Tahlequah Public Works Authority Serving People Is Our Business! We were founded in 1903, but in Sept of 1970, TPWA was adopted by the citizens of Tahlequah.

We provide water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collections, wastewater treatment, and electrical services to Tahlequah. ELECTRIC: 2015 Electric Reliability Award from Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma

WATER TREATMENT: 2014 Water Plant of the Year for medium sized plants from Oklahoma Water Pollution Control Association (OWPCA)

2009, 2011, & 2013 Quality Awards from Water Fluoridation Reporting System (WFRS)

2019 Best Tasting Water Award

🚧 Free Used Utility Poles 🚧

TPWA has several used electric poles available free of charge to anyone who would like them - with the following notations:
🔸 A signed release form is required and must be obtained from the front lobby before removing the poles.
🔸 Bring adequate help and a trailer for loading. We are unable to deliver or load the poles.
🔸 Poles must be cut to 12 feet or less for transport.
🔸 Bring your own tools and equipment to: Pull staples, remove wires, cut the poles to length, and load the poles onto your trailer (plus all PPE needed - eye protection, gloves, masks, etc.)

Poles can be used for fencing, landscaping, farm use, or another project. We would rather see them put to good use than go to waste!

The poles are located on the west side of our main office location and are available first come first served, while supplies last.
